Guntaas is born and raised in Metro Vancouver. She has a BA from Carleton University in Political Science & International Relations, an MA in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford, an LLB from the University of Exeter and she was called to the BC Bar in 2019. In 2011, she was the first Sikh-Punjabi-Canadian to participate in the Minorities Rights’ Fellowship at the UN High Commission for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland.
Guntaas has experience in Criminal and Civil Litigation, Personal Injury and Family Law, with a keen interest in employment and workplace human rights. Since 2021, she has focused on Family Law including representing clients in Supreme Court, mediation, and during negotiated settlements regarding various issues including support, asset division, parenting arrangements, and marriage, cohabitation and separation agreements.
Guntaas provides clients with understanding, compassion, and practical advice. Outside the office, she is an avid reader, enjoys the outdoors, volunteers in her community and spends time with loved ones.
