Raymond obtained a BA in sociology from SFU in 2015 after moving from the Philippines. Volunteering with Access Pro Bono and Amici Curiae Friends of Court sparked his interest in law. In 2018 he completed the paralegal program at Capilano University before working on both plaintiff and defence sides of personal injury law.

He is currently working towards his master's in counselling psychology where he one day hopes to work specifically with members of the legal profession. For recreation he enjoys travelling, writing music, and playing his guitar.
